He’s not perfect, but he’s all I want…
I’m your average girl at your average high school, trying to figure out my place in life. After catching my now ex-boyfriend messing around with my now ex-best friend, I’ve made some big changes. No more band, no more backstabbing friends and no more boring old life. Now I have new friends, a new job and new interests.
But there’s a certain someone who’s interested in me, and I don’t get it. Jordan Tuttle could have anyone he wants. He’s the most popular boy in school. Rich, gorgeous, smart and the star quarterback, he’s perfect. Yet he acts like he wants no one else but…me.
So despite my fears and doubt, I let him get close. Probably too close. I discover that he’s not so perfect after all, but it doesn’t matter. I’m falling for him, even though he runs so hot and cold. I know someday he’s going to break my heart.
And I’m going to let him.
One mistake at a party changed Amanda’s life in more ways than one. She met the most popular guy at school and just happened to be the quarterback of their high school football team. More Than Friends was a high school romance filled with angst, innocence, love, and cuddling (okay sometimes a little more than that). Amanda was a senior in high school who got screwed over by her ex-boyfriend and ex-best friend (literally). She really had no time to handle that betrayal because Jordan Tuttle walked in. They have known each other for what seems like forever growing up in the same schools. Jordan was a rich kid, jock, and known player but none of that mattered to him once he talked to Mandy. He never wanted anything or anyone as much as he wanted her. I loved reading about their story because it was so pure. They both cherished the relationship that was building and made most of their decisions because they had the other’s best interest in midn.It was fun to see the always confident Jordan get nervous around this unique girl. Amanda was new to relationships, but she wanted to break all the boundaries with Jordan. Their connection was definitely like a rollercoaster. Their own insecurities caused their doubts in the relationship, but they never denied their feelings for each other. The creation of #CuttlewithTuttle was one of my favorite moments from the book; 1 because it was super catchy and I’m team Jordan and Amanda and 2 because Amanda finally took charge and claimed her man. My heart was breaking every time Amanda and Jordan questioned their relationship and broke even more with that final line. I want to know what happened so badly. Thanks Monica Murphy for once again making me get lost in a book. Get ready for a cliffhanger that will have you saying “No, this can’t be how it ends”!
